That old cherry tree that got so confused
Maybe in its lost past so abused?
Branches torn when they weren’t needed
If it could, would have stampeded!
But there it still stands, molested and blown
Winter blossom, sad, shaken and alone
Why did they try to find a way to bring you down?
Envious of your peace and your fertile ground?
This can only be a sign of their jealousy
You are what they wish they could be
Out there on a rocky tombstone
Frightened of the love in your smile
They are lost in dark grey clouds of hate
With plans for a world to subjugate
Always trying to throw their weight around
With black noise drowning out all other sounds
Their type has been known since the world began
Since the first morning dawn of ancient man
Way out there in their blind enmity
Bleeding away with their jealousy
Why did they try to find a way to bring you down?
Envious of your peace and your fertile ground?
This can only be a sign of their jealousy
You are what they wish they could be
Out there on a rocky tombstone
Frightened of the love in your smile
They are lost in dark grey clouds of hate
With plans for a world to subjugate
So they’re out there, bitter and hostile
Frightened of the love in your kind smile
Frightened of the love in your kind smile
